This website (“site” or “theatreWork”) is operated on behalf of theatreWashington ("we," "us," and "our"). By using or accessing this site, you agree to the terms and practices of our Privacy Policy.

Although being a part of theatreWork means sharing information about yourself and communicating with us, other users, and the public at large, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what type of information we collect from you when you visit this site, how we may use this information, who might have access to this information, which choices you have about how this information is used and shared, and which measures we take to protect this information. Please note, however, that this Privacy Policy only covers information that we collect through this site.

We store your information to make your interaction with theatreWork more efficient, practical, and relevant. When you delete your personal information, we may retain logs and non-personal information about you along with an,archival copy of your information, which is not accessible by you or third parties on the Internet. If your personal information was previously accessed by others using theatreWork, we are unable to delete the information from their systems.

Even after you remove information from your user account or delete your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your preferences, or it was copied or stored by others. Certain types of communications that you send to other users cannot be removed, such as messages.  This may be crawled by, and displayed through, search engines when someone searches for your name.  We do not warrant how often third-party search engines will update their caches, which may contain old user account information.

Information with the lowest privacy setting may be accessed by everyone on the site and may be subject to indexing by third-party search engines. This information may therefore be associated with you outside of our site (such as on other Internet sites or search engines).

There are no privacy settings for certain types of information that you post on our site, such as listings and organization pages. This information is public for all members of the site.

We may provide links on the site to other websites of interest. We do not endorse the content of these websites or guarantee that they will abide by this Privacy Policy. Your use of such linked websites is subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the providers of those websites. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We do our best to keep your information secure, but you must actively participate in the process of keeping your information safe.

We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (like your password), the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We also reserve the right to analyze accounts for fraudulent or irregular behavior and we may limit use of site features in response to possible signs of abuse.

ASSIGNMENT

If there is a change of ownership or control in theatreWork’s business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise) or if there is an asset sale, the user information, including your personal information, could be disclosed as part of such a process and/or sold as part of that transaction and your personally identifying information potentially could be used by the purchaser.
